How I waste some of my time.
I'm feeling surf starved. Yes, I did go surfing today and yes, it left much to be desired. I'm attempting to grin and bare it through this nasty flat/wind spell that's been mucking up the water for what seems like weeks now. It's springtime right...it's normal? But I have somewhat pleasant memories of spring seasons past. Maybe I have blocked out the bad days because pain has no memory. Yes, I'm in pain. I'm stressed out with moving, in with my man, working, and lack of water time. I've been trying to get some treadmill action and yoga in when I can, but I'm starting to fear that the page will never turn. Ok I'm being dramatic.
Anyways, when the surf gets flat (and all other time of year) I peruse the used boards for sale on craigslist. Here's what I found that peaked my interest this week:

michel junod longboard, 9'10, single fin, square tail, red outline. some dings-all repaired and water tight. $375

Owl surfboard, 7'10, Single Flex Fin, Displacement hull, old school glide, Volan Glass, Mark Adreini Shape, Blue, Great Shape, ready to surf. $350

Channel Islands MSFg2 Surfboard 6'6" Blue - $550

8.0" Andreini Vaqueros de Las Olas California.
Specs: 8' x 16" x 22-1/2" x 14-3/4" x 3-1/4" $600
Yeah, I know. They are all single fins. Therefore I won't be purchasing, just coveting. The only new single fin I might deserve is a new longboard (like that Junod). Poor Stewie is on his last legs. J and I went over the damage and possible repair needs today. It will be a large endeavor to say the least. I checked my bank account and no magic lottery deposit was made to support a new board. I do think my trip to Costa Rica in July might require a twin or quad fish good for traveling but we'll have to see. I'm sure I am just coming up with board fantasies to make up for my lack of time spent in the water as of late.
